Epic! Inspired! A gift from God!
So, I get an excited phone call from Michael one morning telling me to come up to his studio. I was there within an hour. He met me at the door with tired eyes and a huge grin on his face. He rushed me down to his basement studio and told me a remarkable story. He said he was woken up from a deep sleep and was compelled to play this beautiful tune and rich descriptive lyrics. He wrote this song using keyboards and a synthesizer. Normally he would create his songs on guitar.
He asked me to record what he had created so we could document it for further tweaking. He insisted that the melody, riffs, and lyrics were given to him as a gift from God. He did not change it around… he knew what he had was gold. I agree. The recording here is before a few lyrical changes – but the emotion and the message is so very powerful that I included it “as is”. The slight lyric changes are written on the lyric sheet. Enjoy this epic song – it’s one of my favorites!
